* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...A portion of central Missouri, including the following areas, Boone MO, Callaway MO, Cole MO, Moniteau MO and Osage MO. * WHEN...Through Monday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall are expected across the watch area through Monday morning. Rainfall of 1 to 3 inches is possible with locally higher amounts which could result in flash flooding where soils are already moistening.

River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast precipitation for the next 24 hours. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Hinkson Creek at Columbia. * WHEN...Until Monday evening. * IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Right bank 50 feet downstream of the old Providence Road bridge begins to flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1:00 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 13.5 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage this afternoon to 16.7 feet late this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late this afternoon to 9.5 feet this evening. It will rise to 13.3 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall to 4.3 feet Tuesday evening. It will rise to 5.0 feet late Wednesday morning. It will then fall again and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
